Could be director calls.... I’d be upgrading the VDA first to see if it goes away
a
Your VDA seems to be pretty outdated. Any specific reason? If not update to last one 1909
k
Ok, thanks. Will look to update the vda. Is it worth recreating the platform layer or install it as an upgrade in a version?
a
One more option: Wait for 1912 LTSR
j
don't wait for LTSR, there is no point in waiting - its just 1909 code base anyway. No idea on the platform layer side of things - I dont work with App Layering - there is a channel in here that might help in that space if you need some advice 🙂
a
Reason for LTSR: Support. CR: You are forced to systematically update to the next CR versions or lack of support
j
That’s not entirely true and one of the misconceptions of LTSR. You have 18 months support on each CR, I would suggest reading the support statements

Hmm actually interesting. Citrix recommends customers adopt the latest Current Release. Current Releases will reach End of Life (EOL) 18 months after the release date. Current Releases are not eligible for the Extended Support Program, details below. The product release dates are noted on the product download pages. image:
