No, we're not using IGEL. We're using WNOS.ini files.

have you consider updating to the latest wyse os ? is it supported on the device you are dealing with ? wnos.ini file is ancient
s
We've not put this in our project list. Could you share what that would entail? We've got about 400 devices across 60 or so different locations.

Did you do a storefront upgrade or something? Instead of WNOS.ini you could do the configuration in Wyse Device Manager, but then you have to buy a license…
and if your hardware is unsupported there isn’t a ton of benefit
invalid broker type or URL usually means it doesn’t like the storefront url in there (assuming this is using storefront)

@Mike Streetz (O_P) this is Storefront. New devices being placed on the network are having this problem. Existing devices don't seem to be having trouble.
m
Can these new devices resolve the fqdn?
I always start with DNS because it’s DNS like 99% of the time…

I'll check on this. Thank you.

I don’t know anything about your network but I’ve worked in places where new devices are put in a quarantine vlan until the MAC is approved
so was thinking it could be something like that
