I'm thinking about just rolling with "* *OneDrive **" in my script to remove anything. Not sure why I don't do that now.
r
in my script, i just remove OneDrive all together. Works much better.

Fucking OneDrive, man. Compile my new image only to find two of those OneDrive Reporting tasks, but only for my two accounts - not seen in other accounts. So even though I deleted the task in my OS layer, it somehow created them for my accounts when I was building my Platform layer. Have to redo the entire damn layer now just to keep it clean.
I don't even know how that's possible, given that I delete those profiles before finalizing the layer.
I take that back - they're created at first launch of OneDrive. And even if I delete it, it seems to come back at the next launch.
Disabling it seems to keep it disabled, though. Interesting. Might need to utilize WEM to remedy this.

Zombie tasks! @Jonathan Pitre’s scripts cover the required task disables for OneDrive and other apps. However, if you've already got apps installed, you can also use a GPP that creates a scheduled task to call a PS script to manage Microsoft scheduled tasks and active setup reg keys that come back for no good reason: Windows updates, app updates, etc. I wonder if MS is using these scheduled tasks to mine Ethereum? :p

I just added a line to remove the tasks before I seal my Platform layer, which worked. I mentioned this in another thread, but I avoid adding scheduled tasks if possible.

I'm an old-school fan of sched tasks, I know i'll have to move on to whatever MS/Azure has their replacement, but it's a "from my cold dead hands" situation until then šŸ˜›

Get-ScheduledTask -TaskName "*Owen*" | Unregister-ScheduledTask -Confirm:$False
