Anyone having issues with Gateway Services and users being routed all the way to Australia when they are in the US? when using google dns or opendns as forwarders, and run nslookup global.g.nssvc.net it is returning pops in Australia.

By default it finds the closest pop to the users dns server. Do the affected users have their dns server in Australia? You can force a resource location to use a defined region in the rl settings but its all or nothing then. We are starting to support the lowest round trip time but that requires very new versions of workspace app. Thats called intelligent gateway routing.

we have been working with support and something is up with Akamai, no user is in Australia. we did end up setting the resource location to use the US only

just weird if it was Akamai or even citrix cloud i would think to see other users experiencing the same issue.

I'm assuming the Network location service maintenance I got an email about yesterday from Citrix about had something to do with this - status.cloud.com/maintenances/305074

I am not sure that is related but could be. Verified that is just planned maintenance.
