Is Workspace app for Isolated Web Apps meant to replace only the ChromeOS client, or also the HTML5 client across all Chromium-based platforms, and will it support full EDT over the Direct Sockets API?

09/15/2026, 3:27 PMSeems IWAs are only supported via Chrome Enterprise, but you can enable the feature on Chrome via a flag and import the bundle. It looks just like the ChromeOS CWA, but doesn't seem to support web-based logins. Getting stuck at a login prompt which probably has something to do with running in an unsupported environment.

09/24/2026, 1:55 PMdocs.citrix.com/en-us/citrix-workspace-app/citrix-workspace-app-feature… the Tech Preview for IWA is in the Feature matrix so you can see what it supports. Main thing appears to be Smartcard support.
