For those on Server 2022 or 2025, using anything but MS to deliver an RDSH environment (So, Citrix, Omnissa, etc) There is an issue with idle session timeout, it doesn't work. It never shows the timeout message and never times out. I did test a MS patch that solves it, just wanted to let you know in case you are pulling your hairs on why idle session timeout doesn't work.... When the patch will be available and with what name (mine is called 999999) is unknown to me. If I hear more about it, I'll update this message.

So this patch allows you to use Citrix policies to control session timeouts? We have them in AD GPO right now because of this very issue.

Were even MS GPOs not working? I always used those for RDS since the Citrix ones only worked for me for Single Session.

Same than Jeff, I've always used MS GPOs.

We had always used Citrix policy for that until S25, only reason I knew it was broken there.

I haven't looked at MS GPO's... we had a few customers running into this and that was why I got involved. I wanted to see if both Omnissa and Citrix were impacted to make sure we didn't break something in our product.
