I will be upgrading PVS for a customers from 2203 CU6 to 2507 CU1. I'm a little bit nervous since its a bigger jump. Checked Citrix documentation around the upgrade and its really short. Backup the DB and backup the vDisks and then just upgrade one random PVS server so it upgrades the DB? after that console and continue the upgrade with the rest of the PVS servers? sounds too easy to be truth. I think it might break completely and I need to know how to smoothly rollback in that case... do I restore the DB in SQL and then what do I do with the vDisks in that case? It would help me a lot if someone has some notes that they can share, really 😄

It's a pretty easy update. Just make sure that you have the latest Citrix Legacy Licenses if you haven't switched to LAS yet. And install a Server SSL Certficate for the box to bind during the update.

Yes, updated PVS versions uses a local server certificate for security when linking to Daas and Web Studio for PVS image deployment.
