Question for you FSLogix/RDS users. How do you guys set up things to handle a situation where the RD Gateway restarts/crashes/service restarts/whatever, to make it so all users are disconnected.. and they manage to log back into a new session/host before the broker finds their existing disconnected session? This of course causes issues since their fslogix profile is already loaded in the disconnected session, etc. Just had that happen and it was a huge mess.. everyone had an 'active' and a 'disconnected' session.. had to log them out of their active one, so they'd be placed back on their orig session

Sounds like an infrastructure issue, if the gateway isn't capable of correctly reconnecting to the disconnected sessions
j
its capable, it just seems to take a bit before the broker/gateway "show" the existing connections sometimes. meanwhile the users are hammering trying to get back on. Perhaps the FSLogix setting of "deny connection if profile wont load" or whatever its called might help
j
You'll just get loads of calls to the helpdesk about unable to log in rather than settings reset. Not sure which is worse, tbh
j
lol exactly.. theres also a gpo setting for "Restrict Remote Desktop Services users to a single Remote Desktop Services session"
wonder if that would help
c
Script that can be triggered using task scheduler. Queries broker, finds disconnected session, throws message to user, logs off session.
