Struggling with Server 2019 and RDS licensing at the moment. We bake the RDS licensing servers into our image (App Layering), along with the licensing mode (Per User). However, when we compile the image and boot a S19 VDA up, the first attempt at launching a Citrix Desktop fails - it tries to launch, then disappears, and we see license server errors in the event log. Next user, and all subsequent users, can launch the desktop just fine, but the server is running in grace mode at that point. Has anyone had to do anything weird to get this working in S19 before? We have a ticket with MS opened, but they have not been helpful.

Why not deleting the timebomb reg key at sealing so you never really need the RDS license, it's in grace period, handy. It's a workaround but it will solve the issue, no?

I'm just sick and tired of workarounds here, and am determined to do this the right way.
