Is there an ETA on the daily more frequently misnamed 2503 CVAD release?

anyone tried EAR? Is the image managent bug (snapshot dependency) fixed?

Still requires a snapshot. I think they are doing that for parity between AWS, Google, Azure, etc.

nope, according to @Yuhua Lu this is a bug and already fixed in cloud release. Thought it would come to 2503 😞

2503 looks like target is end of this month. Since we adopting new release model 1. 2 CR (early in the year and late in the year) 2. 1 LTSR (middle of year) This means that if a feature does not make into 2503, then feature will miss LTSR and customer has to wait for the feature till 25XX towards end of year. This has caused a lot of folks trying to squeeze feature into 2503 either very late or through exception, made the release branch less stable I believe...

@Yuhua Lu pinged you in the other thread. Your statement was: "Reference (dependency) on snapshot is bug, we also had same bug with machine profile input as well, just checked with @Fenfen Hu we have fixed in main branch, planned to backport to 2402 CU3"

Ok, thanks Marco, I somehow stuck on we need to snapshot which we don't. The bug is that we unnecessarily check the existence of admin provided snapshot

@Jeff Riechers according to @Fenfen Hu the snapshot dependency shouldnt be there in 2503 ETA
