01/16/2025, 7:18 PMI’m having an issue at a certain site where even though I’ve disabled all reconnection processing, when a user roams from one machine to the next, the WEM splash screen (and subsequent refreshing) keeps happening. Is there somewhere else this is configured? We do have Enforce Printer Processing enabled. Would those Enforce settings trigger this?
I enabled the Enforce Printer Processing option because for one user (and seemingly one user only), they kept losing their default printer, which is set by WEM.

01/16/2025, 7:40 PMThe larger question here is - I don’t want WEM doing a lot of processing on reconnect. So while hiding this screen may look visibly better, I don’t want a lot of processing to be happening upon reconnect - the setting should remain the same.
And I have to figure out why this one user keeps on having her default printer clobbered. I turned on Enforce Printer Processing in hopes that it would fix it but it appears that sometimes, it’s still an issue.

01/22/2025, 10:24 PMI also disabled in GPO to disable windows managing the default printer and honestly I think this may have fixed it last I heard. Still unsure why Windows wants to keep selecting PDF but…I will check in with client and see if it continues to plague or if solved. If still an issue, getting some logs I think may be the next step.
