Really stuck here. Been testing windows 11 23h2 and VDA 2402 non persistent MCS latest FSLOGIX. Had zero issues since i started in jan(was on 2311 back then) and starting roughly a month ago or so, the machine blue screens typically upon connection but sometimes mid session. I tried the following with no luck so far: 1. fully removed VDA using cleaner and installed fresh 2. removed teams 2.0 thinking that was the reason of crash 3. Used various Workspace app versions 4. recreated Gold image from scratch 5. tested another user with fresh profile and same There are no crazy apps. I have no clue what else to try because the logs wipe after the machine restarts.

Add a persistent disk, redirect logs to that disk?

ok will try that. It's crazy because I havent read/seen anything online about this. Figured I cannot be only one.
now leaning towards the Citrix App protection being the culprit. We dont have a license for it but I guess the service was enabled locally. I tried on HTML and couldn't get the blue screen so I reinstalled the workspace app without that checked on. time will tell
nevermind still crashed after that. hopefully the dump file was loaded to the persistent drive
errors like this occur BSOD - KMODE exception not handled. what failed - NetIO.sys
BSOD - System thread exception not handled what failed - TDLCA.sys
and dump file isnt being generated to the persistent drive...wtf...
It seems like it's stable in HTML but the moment workspace is involved it goes haywire. Tried several computer and reinstalled the latest workspace today on this machine. I guess ill need a support case if no one else where has encountered something like this before.
BSOD - Bad pool caller. Seems things are stable in html5 but once workspace is involved it crashes. only assumption is new teams plugin

If your hypervisor is vmware, suspend the machine and download the .vmss and .vmem file that gets created. Then use vmss2core to create a dumpfile like this vmss2core-sb-8456865.exe -W8 VM01.vmss VM01.vmem

@David Eriksson oh cool ill try that. I have a support call today with Citrix to see but will keep this in mind
ty got the dump and sending it over to citrix support
cant believe its taking them over two weeks to even look at the dump file.
Anyone have tips on how to gather CDF trace with a non persistent machine? The machine keeps bluescreening on connection attempt and any remote traces freeze at that point. I tried adding a secondary persistent drive but nothing gets dumped there.
FYI working with Citrix for like two months on this thing and atm they are attributing it to the "HDX Direct". they sent me a private wdica.sys file that contains the fix. I turned off the HDX Direct policy and things are working again. insane it took so long to figure this out.
