So I swear I've seen official documentation around this question before but can't find it. We are getting close to start moving users over to Gateway Service for ICA proxy (away from f5 yay!). For reasons (cough security) I won't get into, we can't use rendezvous (yet). Does anyone know how to size cloud connectors for proxying ICA traffic? Citrix's scale and sizing documentation only covers brokering and session launches. I thought I read something awhile back that suggested around 1k GWS sessions per cloud connector but I don't remember where I saw that at.

Hey Tyler, look uo Rendevous protocol. This will have requirements but will get you around any cloud connector limitation.
r
Yes we use 1K connection per Cloud connector wiht 4 cpu 8 gb of ram
Rendezvous is actually a more secure solution so hopefully the scurity team will get on board.
t
Thanks guys. Yes, I'm still pushing rendezvous.
Our security team requires all traffic to be inspected which doesnโ€™t work with rendezvous. There is a rather long process to get an exception which we are in the middle of now. At the same time there is a big push to get off F5.

it wont work wiht teh cloud connector sonnections either

Well, we do have traffic from the cloud connectors to the internet not inspected, that was easier to get an exception for as we could scope it down to just the CC's. Thousands of VDA's though - that got them riled up.

maybe they'll come on board if you can show case them the Analytics for Security? I know it's not packet inspection, but as a compromise. They can't have their cake and eat it too, everybody need to learn that. ๐Ÿ™‚
