Hi all, I have a custom domain for citrix cloud called https://customURL.DomainA.com My internal DNS server for my domain is DomainA.com When a user wants to log onto the custom Citrix URL https://customurl.domaina.com/ how can I tell my DNS server that custom.DomainA.com is not local and instead when a client needs to resolve it use a public DNS server instead? Thanks

DNS delegation zone
create a new zone for custom.domaina.com in your local DNS delegated to public dns

Interesting, didn’t think creating a new zone a FQDN (public) What happens when you have hundreds and hundreds of external machines that match your internal DNS. Do people have hundreds of delgation zones?
j
you're only delegating CustomURL.domainA.com or any subs below it; eg. subsite.customURL.domainA.com
s
Yeah but what if you have http://customurl2.domainA.com or 3 and 4
you would have to set up one for each resource. That seems like allot of overhead
j
yeah...pretty much. GSLB is the same

I think you can only have one custom domain right now and it states it's really meant for true external dns. Private DNS configurations arent supported

Fix was a local private cname to the long url that Citrix wants you to cname to in your public dns
