There is a bit too little information in your question, but: • Add the vlan of the portgroup to the NetScaler • Bind the vlan to the interface corresponding to that portgroup • Bind a SNIP or VIP corresponding to the subnet of the portgroup to the newly created vlan on the NetScaler, and make sure the option -tagged is disabled
Next, you want to make sure your routing table on the NetScaler has a gateway pointing to an address in that subnet if you want to be able to communicatie with IP addresses in another subnet.
Obviously, if you have multiple portgroups that need to be attached to the same NetScaler, you will get multiple interfaces for which you need to re-iterate on the steps above.
Adjust your routing on the NetScaler accordingly (default gateway, or more specific routes if you want to use a specific gateway towards another subnet)
What people always tend to forget is that a NetScaler makes all IP addresses available on all interfaces, unless you specify which subnet/ip address lives on which interface. This is done by configuring a vlan on the NetScaler, by means of binding a vlan id to an interface (and IP address)
(It will not literally tag the trafficm unless you enable the -tagged parameter)

thank you @Jan Tytgat I was hoping to get one interface and have all the VLANs communicate on the same interface. In our case the VLAN id was bound to the interface, however VMware was tagging the traffic as well. So my question was more of like "can I use only one interface with Netscaler tagging t he traffic and remove the tagging from VMware?"
j
You can, I believe setting the portgroup vlan to 4096?
In that case, make sure to configure each vlan on the NetScaler with the option -tagged enabled!
(Been a long time since I’ve done anything with ESXi)
c
I have the option to not tag the vlan at all on VMware, but could as well tag it with 4096 as well
j
if it is not tagged in VMware, it will use the “vlan” of the physical NIC. By setting it to 4096 you actually set it to trunk mode if I recall correctly.

it is 4095 actually
Beware of the line speed for your interface, if it is only 1G, you will limit total traffic over the interface to 1G (for all VLAN combined)
c
ok will go an try it thank you for your help
it is 10G
