I am in the camp where it doesnt matter what gender or race you are as long as you are qualifed and have experience and can actually do the job that is all i care about. There is too many hires based off tick boxing exercises nowadays citing equality and inclusion as reasons for hiring unskilled and unqualifed staff but i dont think that is going to change any time soon. (From reading your content/blogs that doesnt apply to you 🙂 ) This guy you mention on Linkedin seems to clearly have a problem with Women in IT which is pretty bad

My original point was my only option was the qualification route I can't do the networking to do the equivalent experience route - I can't play golf, the rest of the PM team never invited me to girlie bars with them - but he didn't slate my qualifications he slated me for saying I was a minority (I can count and it's pretty obvious when I am the only woman in the building let alone the room sometimes) and for blogging on IT a networking / community route I thought was open to me....
