Anyone want to buy a laptop?

I'm in need of another TP-Link 5-port Ethernet switch, so I check my stash and find one, but no AC adapter. Then I remembered that I bought a new one for the AC adapter since it was basically the same price. And I'm about to do the same again, lol.

I had a document that I converted some of the text to WingDings, so that particular section would be unreadable to anyone who was given a printed or PDF version of the document. Now I've tried to convert it back to remember what it said, and changing it back to a standard font doesn't seem to work (it just turns into different unreadable characters). Anyone got any idea how I could change this back to a readable format, or help me understand why it's not rendering back? It was over fifteen years ago when I hid the text and I have no idea what font or app was used originally - all ideas would be very welcome...

So Broadcom did Broadcom things and EOGA the free vSphere Hypervisor. But didn't they change it back to free again or am I daydreaming?

Hm, anyone else use Quad9 for forward lookups having issues today? I'm getting timeouts from home (I use them for their free filtering)...but uptime.quad9.net looks "green"...while status.quad9.net/smap does show sites in my geo as in Bypass...that shouldn't matter

Today is my last official day of work at Flexxible. I am taking PTO/vacation/holidays for the rest of December, and on January 1, 2025, I am officially 100% retired. After 47 years and 4 months in IT, it is time to move on to my next life phase. I'll be doing a lot of volunteer service work and enjoying life with my amazing fiancée. In case you're running SAP GUI (8.x) with App Control (WDAC), Dynamic Code Security causes some issues. Disabling that feature in App Control will resolve this, but it lowers your security posture. Either way, humanity looses SAP trace files will indicate the following: • Repeated Failed to delete connection (rc=7) errors • Monitor stuck in “ChangeRunningState()” • We have detected a potential security issue related to the COM object. CodeIntegrity event log will have these events: • Code Integrity determined that \Device\HarddiskVolume4\Program Files\SAP\FrontEnd\SAPGUI\saplogon.exe is trying to load In_Memory_PE_File which failed the dynamic code trust verification with error code of 0xC0E90002. • Code Integrity determined that a process (\Device\HarddiskVolume4\Program Files\SAP\FrontEnd\SAPGUI\saplogon.exe) attempted to load \Device\HarddiskVolume4\Users\<username>\Temp\2c91a830aac54d0168042dc760d84e36\zx_25b324c4b38c43ae8c93df1acb35ff03.dll that did not meet the Enterprise signing level requirements. • Code Integrity determined that a process (\Device\HarddiskVolume4\Program Files\SAP\FrontEnd\SAPGUI\saplogon.exe) attempted to load \Device\HarddiskVolume4\Users\<username>\Temp\2c91a830aac54d0168042dc760d84e36\zx_25b324c4b38c43ae8c93df1acb35ff03.dll that did not meet the Enterprise signing level requirements or violated code integrity policy (Policy ID:{49d46d32-f1ea-4bf4-9eeb-05e7909370e0}).
