not really (not that i know of), WEM is executing after the shell loads, so a user can interact with their desktop as it is processing - what specifically are you trying to do?
s
Agree with James. Just want to know what you really want to do. thanks!

Before an application is functional some external tasks must be executed. Users who launch application upon entering the desktop receive error.
j
Hide the ingress points to the application and have wem recreate them as the last action it does? User canโ€™t click it if itโ€™s not there

We will evaluate all possible alternatives that could suit the customer. Going from Ivanti to Wem will be fun :)

Glad to hear about it. Thanks for trying the WEM product!
If you have any questions, feel free to post them. Thanks again!
by the way, you can also try the scripted tasks with Machine startup trigger. but the scripted tasks is machine level. it can not get user info.

As James says, yea hide the icon until the external tasks are ready. Maybe even add a bit of window dressing like a little colourful reporting script that let's the user know it's being prepared for him/her, but you're welcome to use other parts of the desktop in the meantime.
