@James Rankin Appx package feature is default on. Newest version didn't do the trick. Are we the only ones still struggling with this?
j
I think most everyone else cans them. The only one I have in current deployment is Sticky Notes, and that was problematic AF
t
Canning them would be the easist 🙂 . But the school we are developing for, really misses basic/regular windows functionality in photos and Snip&Scetch/snipping tool. So we explore as far as we can. Thanks @James Rankin!

In some instances I've used a script to redeploy the UWP apps at every logon for non-persistent devices, and exclude them from the profile. As long as you don't need data from the package (which is why Sticky Notes was such a pain) this might suffice

with those UWP apps its partly the packages and some classes regkeys.

the number of companies that still use sticky notes as a business critical app is mind blowing. I had to do a migration ages ago of win 7 sticky notes profile data. I wish everyone would just use notes in outlook instead.
j
And if they don't sign in the "data" sits in the app package. Awful piece of kit
j
on top of that it uses some weird as dot.net frame that crashes like half the time.

Conclusion - rename to Sucky Notes
