Yes! Bug is present in Windows Server 2022 as well, but it doesn't affect operability.

Hmmm... I'm fairly sure NetBIOS is disabled in our enviroinment. RDS  licensing works as expected.

I have been disabling NetBIOS slowly and have had no issues doing so at all. RDS licensing works from2012R2 - 2019 servers to the 2019 Licensing servers.

I just had an issue today, with sign in to all MS365 apps. The resolution was to remove legacy Control Panel Settings &gt; Internet Settings &gt; Internet Explorer 10 from a user GPO. Maybe that is the case for you aswell?

Has anyone deployed workspace client to a large organization utilizing the auto update feature? Looking to set clients to the LTSR stream but wondering if there is a way to change download location. Trying to avoid all 10000 clients going out to Citrix separately.

Upgrading to VDA/WEM 2303 made no difference. I disabled HDX Adaptive Display with no difference. I opened a case.

I found out if I take Server 2022 RTM, install the VDA, and then install current cumulative updates, the VDA functions and ICA connections work. 

If I take Server 2022 RTM, patch it up with current patches, and then install the VDA, ICA connections do not work. 

I replicated this with another machine for my own sanity. 

Same behavior with legal text or no legal text.

RDP works. User A get's their own desktop.

Nope. Nothing like that going on. I'm going to try the current release VDA and see what happens. What is wild to me is another user's incomplete session is a second display for a console administrator.

This may, or may not, help you. I once had a single user on a multi-session environment, who happened to be an executive, request a PowerPoint add-in. I installed the PowerPoint add on to the master image as an administrator. I basically took what settings it installed in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, and moved it to HKEY_CURRENT_USER by way of a Group Policy Preference.

I let the program install as administrator.
I checked "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\PowerPoint\Addins\AddinName", exported the key, and deleted it.
I took what I exported and replaced HKLM with HKCU.
The 4 values I imported to a Group Policy Preference was "Description", "FriendlyName", "LoadBehavior", and "Manifest".
I set the LoadBehavior to DWORD 2.
Because they were GPP's assigned to a multi-session environment, I filtered the GPP's based upon user group.

This accomplished my goal of catering to the executive, without affecting all users on this desktop. The add-in would be available for them to load if they chose to. For newer drivers sure.. Most headache are causing older label drivers. Point and Print Setting is not causing any troubles with a printer installation policy?

Yes you can, doing that for ages with PVS images

Would keep things clean and wipe on reboot. Have done this in past.

We do this for about 12 years now with the same vbs script at computer startup. Very stable solution. 

Is the customer able to connect to the machine directly with Direct Workload connection?

Another workload in same tenant ( different resource location ) is working just fine. Citrix is handling the supportcase now 

I'd say no based on what you've said.  How's you cpu ready on the vm's.  I'd be more concerned about over-sized vm's.  If you have controlup or veeamone, they'll give you this info

The VMs are sized at 4vCPU and 8 GB of RAM.  eG Enterprise reports that they are mostly right sized for the users (~80%.).  We do have VEEAM One as well.  Lets see what that says.  Thanks.

ps - youre doing all the right things with endpoint offloading.   many dont think of this and run to gpu's

Thanks for the validation Nick. Our average CPU ready over 1 week during business hours is .56% with a median of .66%.  A handful of machines averaged out at ~1%.

Nope did not experienced this issue… but if after implementing the keys if you are seeing this then please share the feedback on the knowledge article…

Interesting. I'm having similar issues with 2203 and 2303 on VDI. I would really like to know what services we are talking about here, that needs to be reenabled.

with 2203 the fix were those reg keys listed in the article. but 2303 behavior is totally different

So, basically you disabled the Citrix profile management service? If so, pity. That service provides session info and login times to Director.

The reason I'm interested is that I'm seeing som similar issues on VDIs, but it happens with the initial login, not reconnect.

im able to confirm i tested this and it worked. basically i connected and saw the welcome screen. on another pc i connected to server, added the regkey, opened CMD and closed the CTXGFX.exe proccess under my username and attempted to log in again as myself which worked. Got my session back!

<@U03E3RH2J90> this registry change is not the fix. You mitigated the issue by killing CtxGfx, you could reconnect to the session even without changing the registry.
We are aware of the issue and working on a fix. So I would recommend to open a support case on this issue

You look at the data and find out that the ICARTT spikes to 15000ms for who knows why. If you don't have the data, you can't find the root cause. :slightly_smiling_face:

usually its the most obvious, GPO on workspace to block PID/VID, or Printer passements are blocking drivers. Or Studo policy doing the same.

it is normal. What I did was I used the current 1912 StoreFront Servers, and tied the new DDCs on 2203Cu2 so they could use the Same Gateway and test the backend. But the older Destkops don't go nuts with latency metrics. I am going to look and see if it's something with the MTU key on the new VDA. As 2203 has the key enabled by default now.

I saw this in testing as well. Two different images. Tester using voip reported noticeable degradation in voice quality though. His other session in a non 2203 cu2 vda was working normally. Other test image (completely different built but still win10) did the same thing with latency numbers.

So, is it the regular latency or the ICA RTT that's showing the high values? definitely seems weird.. and we're getting ready to start migrating to 2203 ourselves

Try a reinstall for the one drive app. Do you notice any crash logs in the event viewer? It might be related to it.  Are there any exclusions configured specifically. Possible issues could be app crash or unsuccessful installation.

@ Ray Davis - that definitely sounds like a bug.. basically identical VDA's other than the version, with massively different VOIP results :confused:

What do you mean by unable to use? Are you not getting any audio or?

What VDA version are you using? I believe at least 2203 CU2 has issues when there are more than 8 audio devices on the client computer.

How many audio devices are you connecting?

Hi, we're using Single-Session OS (Win10) streamed by PVS into bare metal workstations. VDA 2209. It's like streamed RemotePC but the machine cataloge type isn't RemotePC, it's Single-Session OS (Desktop OS). When Users disconnecting their HDX session, the session switches to "Console" - but there is no physical monitor connected, nobody is able to connect locally other than HDX. The "Console" connection type is causing issues as the session idle and session disconnect timer policies never hit. Any ideas why the session isn't recognized as "HDX - Disconnected"? Thank you!
