I ran a FreeNAS for about 2-3 years. Not fun when you look at the resources it needs...

Anyone tried to per reset the ubnt hear thru the current "hole"? Need to reset my AP-LC-LR... Ruined my RPi and hat to reinstall it, unfortunately no config backup 😬😞 so AP is still adopted to "old" controller and re-adoption isn't working. Unfortunately the AP is already mounted on the wall and Iam occurring from a broken bone in my right foot so no ladder climbing possible... Would be nice to use the vulnerable file to reset the root pwd or to reset the device. (Already tried to SSH to the AP but haven't found working credentials)

Have not done proper testing, seems like Link Aggregation is not possible, or what @dready ? It was slow in the classroom, 5 students copying thousands of files at the same time. bigger files like OVA & ISO faster. What speed should I expect to get on e.g. a ISO image copy? I do think that's it's the crapy XenServer network slowing things done, or might be because we go through a GW, guess that's why. Will spin up VyOS instead this week to see if it improves. Think it was 10-12 mbs

think you can do a 2x 1gb LAG, but have to change the switch mode 10mbs seems really slow to me, should be much faster, but have not yet done proper testing too

same, need to test from QNAP to Home PC and not through switch & gw via XenServer

copying big file now from Synology to local PC - 112 MB/s

will check if LAG is possible but i think no improvement over 1gb for single file copy

A single session cannot exceed 1Gbs even with a lag. Lag allows multiple 1Gbs sessions

yep 👍, only helps with multiple sessions

that's what I saw and thought, just for the other models. No worries, might just "pre-provision" a disk with all the media needed

must be a limitation with this particular device, probably because of the inbuilt switch. their other models support link aggregation

simple one file copy from another nas to the tbs-453A via virtual desktop hosted on XenServer. 105 MB/s is not too bad

which is on par with the 112 mb/s I saw for the Synology. Will these numbers in mind I'll do some tests tomorrow. Thanks @dready
