My advice on Sous Vide steak... 137F for at least 45 minutes, then 1 min per side in a cast iron pan with either butter or bacon grease

Advice please. Finally got the wife to bail from the split garage. So, building my office. But. Wifi is crap. What's the best extender or access point that will give me a decent stable connection. Thanks LabRats 👍🏻

If you can do NOT, I repeat, do NOT use an extender. Hard wire + WAP is the only way to go!!

@User the rule is cable for everything fixed, and WiFi for stuff moving around, even if you have to spend a day or 2 or $1000, the cable pull from the house to your office is well worth it

@Dave Brett How far is the run from home to garage? Is there an existing conduit or path?

Sounds like I'm digging tomorrow night then before I start to re plaster. Can get a cable over there easy enough! 👍🏻

Nice price of kit @User / will figure out a path there tomorrow and put some cables in. The run is not too bad @User so should be pretty easy to get some cable in there - assuming the builders didn't dump too much in the ground when building the house 😃

@Jarian Gibson that's some serious bandwidth. Is most of your kit in the house ? My fibre termination is in the office and all my lab will be moved in there so won't be a lot of data going to and from the main house, well, unless I buy one of those wifi enabled steak cookers that is! 👍🏻
