yea we put external antennas on top of the vans and connected them to the Cradlepoints. Works great. No signal loss even in some of the rural areas they do work in

I was researching getting a Verizon 4G LTE Jetpack AC791L MiFi connected to Ubiquiti UniFi Security Gateway. I found that the MiFi is actually manufactured by NetGear and they offer a cradle with a 1 Gbps Ethernet port on the back for $69. Unfortunately it was discontinued so finding one in stock is tough: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00QIH1CWO A little large for mobile use but would have been perfect for home.

@User You will need two TP-Links one for the hotel WiFi and one for the MiFi if you want automatic failover. The way the TP-Link works is that you connect your laptop to the TP-Link WiFi, open the device admin page and then as enter the MiFi or any other WiFi network information (SSID / password), once connected then you can plug the WAN/LAN port to the EdgeRouter. So if you only have one TP-Link, you will have to login to it and change which WiFi you are using. for $25 each, it will be best to have both. You could even to an SD-WAN and have both links running.

This is what you get when you order a "knockdown" rack. It comes with no assembly instructions so this will be fun...
