@Steve Elgan: look on eBay - supermicro

@Steve Elgan: I bought two of my super micro servers on eBay. You could buy barebones server and add ram separately. 768GB is going to be expensive

Yea. I did some ebay searching last night and there are so many options. Some of the all flash stuff looked pretty appealing. Before I spend a bunch of $$ on more hardware, I'm bringing in a contract DBA to ensure the code and SQL environment are properly tuned. I will def be looking to buy some supermicro though. That was a great suggestion!

Anyone used the Ubiquiti 10G switches with HCI in a non-lab environment yet?

i don't have any customers that do. They usually already have their own gear. If someone asked I would recommend. Just make sure you check the SFP+/DAC compatibility if going to use those.

Guess I pick up 2, one for Hotel WiFi -> LAN going through EdgeRouter X Lite3 and one for Student lab access. The power by USB is really nice, so you hook them into the Synology DS416 slim or just the 1+ port Anker Hub I'm going to buy.
