You'll have to let me know how it goes. I'm aiming at putting a whole unifi set up in my house in the spring. Really was hoping they would come out with a doorbell solution. This might work pretty well

This camera isn't meant for outdoors. My front door setup keeps the camera away from the elements. As long as you have something similar you should be ok.

But my she-eo demands that my current setup goes out first as she can see me adding the 40" vs replacing the current setup

I'm planning on picking up some gear, so this is what I should get? Already have a 8 port TP-Link PoE switch

My existing PoE switch makes more noise than my portable Data Center with 8 NUC's 😉

Check the power. I believe the us-8-60w can't power the HD

Yeah, guess I need the 150W model. But what is Pro/Con for using existing PoE switch? Also how the noise on this one?

Yep I have one of those switches plus some bigger ones. PoE makes a huge difference. I'm using it for other equipment I've never even thought I'd use it for. I don't think I'll ever buy another switch without PoE now just in case after seeing how useful it can be in a home environment. I have the US-8-60 in a living room in a TV console and it makes no noise at all.
