@Tim: I asked Beth for some video guidance for the book presentation and she gave me some great information. She said: "It's Joeten-Kiyu Public Library's 25th anniversary. On December 19th, 2016, it turned 25 years and has continued to provide an invaluable service to our community via literacy, programming, outreach, book clubs, manamko employment, WIA (Workforce Investment Agency) training, IT, job training, partnership with NMC, etc. and having a local young author as yourself whose family patronizes the library, who has even participated in authorship at a young age in high school and had her manuscript displayed at what is no the Children's Library... to now, have her very own published works being displayed, borrowed, for the whole CNMI to enjoy is truly an honor and a blessing. Let us know about how you became an author, how you were inspired to read, why you love libraries, how your family connection to the Joeten-Kiyu Pulic Library, especially from your mom being one of the founding members of the Public Library Council in 1991 helped implant that memory to contribute and give back to helping educate our CNMI... you can talk again about ur personal experience growing up in saipan and how you have a family and they constantly inspire you to write more literary works... Bc we are short on time, you can summarize each book, and mention why it is so special to you, and tell us something unique and fascinating about how it came to life, the thought process involved, the people, how long it took you to write it... whatever you feel comfortable in letting the public know,, feel free to express it. Introduce the books to us and let us know what category do they fall under, why reading them or working on them is fun and helpful for you, you can give us your email address or website, so any fan member can contact you with more questions... but also, please don't forget to mention HAPPY 25th BIRTHDAY to the Joeten-Kiyu Public LIbrary. B/c this ceremony is for the public....you are giving a gift to the library,,,INtroduce the library to your family, you, let us see who is franicia tomokane white... it's pretty much open to whatever you feel is appropriate for you to share...you have 15 to 20 minutes. I saw documentation that said she was on the Library Council in 1991... that's the yer the library was founded that's the governing Board of the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library"
