@Tim I had one Chinese manufacturer representative on Alibaba write back and they said 100 units for our Minimum Order Quantity (MOQ) is acceptable. That floral garden set with bag’s MOQ was posted as 3,000 units, but I asked them anyway. The products are around $3.36/set and $3.58/set. I like the $3.36/set better. 😮 What do you think?

@Tim I got the third mandatory tool for my PLM Course. It is Viral Launch, but I’m trying the cheapest version first. It is $20/month. Can you enter it in? 🙂

@Tim I sent my two product ideas for vetting to Ashley. I wrote: “Good morning, Ashley. @ashleykinkead 🙂 I think I’ve picked two products. I saw in my course that I have to pick a quick sale product too. So I wanted to run these ideas by you. I mentioned the garden tools for women. I’ve been writing to Chinese manufacturers on Alibaba asking if I could get a test order of 100 pieces. I’m so thankful one responded with a yes and that product is $3.36/set. I wrote back to ask for a different bag if possible and if they do custom work so I can add just a one-color logo (just two words). -->The other idea I ran tests with and did a lot of research is “pink bubble mailers.” I thought that could be my quick product if possible even if I’ll be buying more since only the case is offered. I can make it a better product I believe than what’s offered and found a US manufacturer. I am also in contact with them to custom make a certain color (and possibly designs later) for me too. ”

@Tim Oopsie. The garden set was bought out by someone else since it was old stock. The new one that was made has a MOQ of 2,000 for above $6. 🤔

@Tim I think I want to use PrintingCenterUSA.com for our “thank you cards with envelopes” for our first product. I am looking at the cheapest option with envelopes and that is the smallest size (4.25x5.5) with the slowest production time. https://www.printingcenterusa.com/printing/greeting-card-printing

@Tim Moo USA doesn’t make greeting cards, but we may be able to use their postcards. I don’t know if the flat cards will throw people off for our first product though. We’d also have to purchase separate envelopes.

@Tim Oops! Moo DOES MAKE greeting cards. I don’t knowhow I missed it. Our cards would cost about $1.40 versus $0.12 with Printing Center USA. The only way we could sell them is by selling smaller batches, but they would be pretty expensive. I’m trying to figure out the cost and see if it’s doable. I love their quality and service though and it is fitting for the brand. Hmm…Perhaps the Moo ones could be the luxe line and for a later product like second or third?

@Tim I think our best option for our first test (and learn) product that goes above the competition by maintaining our higher quality standard is to print our greeting cards in bulk with PrintingCenter USA and then getting our envelopes from Moo. I found a box from Uline too. This will help keep costs down and make our product better and avoid damages to the the cards and envelopes and give them a “Wow” experience from the start. I’d love to add one or two tissue paper too that we’d get from Uline in bulk. PrintingCenterUSA gets great reviews for their printing quality of products, mainly their other products, but that is a good thing I think. What do you think?

@Tim Ashley posted paint sticks in the freebies section. I requested to claim it and others can to. It’s a quick vetted product to get a quick sale, etc. I found a very inexpensive USA supplier (Made in USA) (eco-friendly, biodegradable) at http://www.paintpaddles.com/default.aspx

@Tim I think I figured out a good second private label product to add to our lineup that’s not part of our quick sale item. I just sent it to Ashley to vet. It is “blank note card set.” I thought it would fit and further help our brand hopefully. 🙂

@Tim Ashley wrote late last night to say that if our second private label product —- “blank note card set” —- is over $15, then it is a good product for me as I have asked. 😊👍

@Tim We were supposed to have order samples, but they have been moreso the case with Chinese suppliers since she said more than 90% of her students buy products from China. Also, mine have been custom so far since stock options were not really available or at competitive prices. 🙂 Also, she said we need to order samples of our competitor’s products now. We need to order from at least two of our top competitors.

@Tim I was invited to Ashley’s PLM Mastermind Group. It will be for a select few people. We have to commit to a few things, but they are not difficult. They mostly mean sending in tips and participating in discussions and contributing to benefit the group rather than sitting back in the shadows. From the numbers, she seems to be stating that she invited 8-12 of us and there are 30+ people in our current coaching Slack group. Isn’t that neat? 😊 I just hope it’s free. 🙏
