@Tim I’ve got some work to do already for private label. Yay! I have to enroll in the 8 week course which is structured. Then I have to schedule an Onboarding Call within the next few days.

@Tim I just finally finished my prep form for the Onboarding Call. It was a questionnaire and took me all morning to do. I had to figure out the answers. 🙂

@Tim I’m done with this week’s homework (Week 1) for the Private Label Mastery Course. I had to 1.) schedule my Onboarding Call (and fill out the Call Prep Form), and 2.) Open an Amazon Seller Account which we already have. 🙂

@Tim We need to eventually get Product Liability Insurance when selling private label products because we are responsible and looked at as the manufacturers.

@Tim I completed Section 4 which is the final section for the first week. The course is 16% complete. There was another short Quiz after this section and I aced it as well. 🙂 I have homework assigned in this section, but it’s easy and just to think of products I use every day and to think if they are private label items.

@Tim I just finished my Onboarding Call with Ashley Kinkead and it went very well. She gave me a lot of helpful information, assurance, and realistic expectations depending upon how much money we want to invest. Also, she told me some products some clients sell and why they’re good for selling and not what people think is exciting. She recommended some categories for research too and to get the paid version of Scope.

@Tim The cheapest paid plan for Scope is $390/ year. When can I get it? I believe I officially start research tomorrow and can start today too. The next modules have opened up.

@Tim She recommended I get the monthly plan from Seller Labs for SellerLabPro bundle which includes (Scope, Feedback Genius, Ignite, and Quantify). It is $59/month for the lowest plan for 1-500 products. 🙂 I’m about to pay for it, but it’s asking for phone number along with credit card. Is the phone number associated with the Business Check Card? If so, I’m not seeing one on the login info.

@Tim In the Private Label Mastery Course, she mentions various tools that are helpful. One caught my eye and seems like it will save me a lot of time with my research along with Scope. It’s Merchant Words from merchantwords.com When I choose the most inexpensive monthly subscription and uncheck “global search” and just focus on “US only” it goes from $60/month to $30/month. 🙂 It’s an Amazon search tool (and Jet and Walmart I believe but primarily Amazon) When you type in any keyword, it gives how many search terms there are that are related and how many searches as well as the categories on Amazon. That’s huge! 🙂 Can I pull the plug on the $30/month plan?

@Tim One of the three recomended tools by Ashley includes the Jungle Scout web app (Standard plan is $49/month which has “Niche Hunter.” I can always cancel. I can see if this is similar or different than Merchant Words.

@Tim All night long I drifted in and out of sleep thinking about garden flags and our potential first product. I’ve been up since 5 o’clock and was researching US companies and manufacturers for garden flags after my Bible reading. I was happy with the customer service and garden and house flag quality mentioned on website and Facebook reviews for Flagology.com

@Tim I also wrote to Ashley Kinkead from the Private Label Mastery Course on our private coaching/client channel and told her that I’m ready to pick my first product — that I’d like to claim the “small garden flag” idea in the freebies section if no one else has claimed it. I also said that I think I’d like to turn that experience into a Sports category one with a focus on “Naval Academy garden flags” and “Naval Academy house flags.”

@Tim As I mentioned yesterday, it seems I got responses from all the suppliers on the pink garden tools on Alibaba and the representatives either don’t understand what I’m asking in the lower test amount or are giving me the same high amount back as a choice.

@Tim With all the research I’m doing, I’m heavily leaning on doing a Sage Brain math flash card game product that I’ve always wanted to do. There is tough competition in terms of review numbers, but I feel positive we can beat them because we’ll be offering a far superior product (making the product better like how I had planned it and made them) and I’m willing to compete with higher sponsor ad costs because I’m feel pretty positive it will solve customer’s problems and make it fun too (giving them a greater family and learning experience). 🙂 I am SO excited about this idea because it is a need, I’ve been wanting it myself for our children, I’ve been dearly wanting to launch Sage Brain, I have the proper software research tools that show me for sure how much of a demand and there need there is, and I have the guidance of an experienced coach who can help us properly launch this product!

@Tim I think I found an amazing office product this morning. It is “pink bubble mailers” including other variations like blush pink, peach pink, light pink, lux, printed, designer, kawaii, girl, girly, and more. 🙂 I just hope we can get them custom printed flush to the edge and get them at a great bulk price. The rankings are great, it is in high demand, and there are not enough sellers. Jungle Scout even says, “This niche has excellent demand and not much competition. Based off the demand and competition, this appears to be an excellent niche to sell in!”

@Tim I really need to get that 3rd mandatory software tool called Viral Launch, primarily the Intermediate Version which has “Market Intelligence.” It’s a lot to type. My coach says that even though Jungle Scout says it’s a good product, Viral Launch can show you if it’s too competitive. The monthly fee for this version is $59/month.
