Hello folks, we're just about renewing group insurance policies for our folks for this year and are putting together some FAQs around the same. Has anyone done this before? Would really like to sound you out. Also, how are the premiums for group insurance looking across the board? Seems to have shot up compared to the last year. Some employees are feeling the pinch in their wallets for family cover and we're thinking through ways to address this. Would love some input here as well.

We did this exercise too, you can reach out to me if required 9650809393. I did a full industry benchmarking also to ascertain what top employers are providing. Can share with you if you want to know.

Hi Malathi, could you share it with me too?

Sure @Christel Dsouza . As a result of surveying many top (model) employers we came to the conclusion that the very top of the line offering to employee on insurance benefit is by large companies like TCS ( 5 lakh insurance of self spouse and kids, with the option to add parents at own expense, TCS allows for top up of cover over and above 5 lacs if unfortunately someone has to utilise full 5 lacs) most employers will go for GMC of 5 lacs with maternity benefit, covering parents from company side is very expensive so we may allow employees to add parents at own expense ( that too insurance companies need a minimum number). Most companies go for a 3 lacs cover ( self spouse and kids). Many employees came up with queries like can I insure fiancé if I am single, can I add my in laws etc so be prepared for huge queries. As to provider my personal experience with Star was very good in terms of basic actual insurance cover and claim settlement. We have also used Pazcare which provides a lot more frills and good dashboard but insurance side they are one level less than Star. If you would like to go with Loop which is trending in a big way, I can put you in direct contact with them. Hope this helps.

You mean Loop Health right?

We are currently in talk with them. They are by far the best option as of now. We had star prior to this. Was wondering if we were missing out any good platforms....

@Christel Dsouza and @Malathi Gaur i had this experience with Loop Health, pls ensure all your discussions points are in writing and discussed clearly. They app had issues and the portal for HR admins is still on active, all the enrolments and deletions and balance of Funds are still manual. They promised way big but the delivery was pathetic.

Quick Tip - You can ask your insurance provider to make your company’s policy queer friendly and allow same sex partners, trans partners and live-in relationships too.

I have recently worked with Pazcare, they are pretty good in terms of removing all manual tasks like adding removal, ecards etc. I can connect you with the team if required.
