Team, need a clarification on earned leave policy in Karnataka registered under shops and establishments act. Up to 45 days can be accumulated. Does the remaining balance expire or does it have to be encached yearly? What's your company policy.

Hi Vidya, once you reach 45 days of accumulation, the remaining leaves will lapse. Leave encashment, can be done early as well up to a certain threshold, depends on internal policy. However at the time of exit has to be enchased in line with the law. Which will be prorated based on the the exit date.
