Hi, @Meena Kumari Thank you for doing this! I would like to understand the below things from you. 1. What keeps you motivated? 2. How do you promote diversity in the workplace? 3. If the economy is in a recession, how would you adjust the organization’s hiring policies? If you are involved in hiring.

Hi Neethu, Motivation is very subjective to me. Iam an integrator by nature and when I feel i was able to manage home vs kids vs chores and things are progressing it keeps me looking forward, energised and motivated. But i feel it's about having that satisfaction that you've had your share of solving problems for the day. My husband often humours saying if there are no problems to solve, it drives you insane 😂

More than gender diversity which is hard to keep up with a small org, for which we have done a very decent job at Airmeet, it is also about diversity in thoughts, backgrounds, experience that plays a major role in the success of the org. For the most part we ensure: 1. Hiring the right person for the job and ensure they feel absolutely inclusive and belonged in the org, right from problem solving to decision making 2. Never hire too many folks from the same Avenue example same college, same target companies etc as it will create a herd mentality within the org and leads to lack of innovation
In recession, i would strongly suggest reevaluating existing workforce and optimise instead of hiring. Retaining a loyal set of folks will help in the long run rather than hiring massively and then firing because of low revenues.

Thanks a lot, It makes sense.
