@Meena Kumari Thank you for being a part of the AMA
How do you encourage people to participate in remote engagement and team building activities?
What is the ideal method to provide medical insurance as part an employee's benefit package?

Hi Pavithra, We generally have always seen this challenge about how to bring everyone in the org to participate, it's never been a case that we've had a 100% participation during a townhall or any engagement for that matter. May be we should accept the fact that we have to view engagement participation just like absenteeism and redundancy, it's never 100%. While mostly folks correlate that more fun elements drive participation it has been frequently proven wrong. While at Airmeet, we've seen max 75% participation when there has been leadership presence, important awards and announcements.

On health insurance, i would suggest you understand the demographics of your team really well and curate a policy that works well for that group. I have personally taken care of aspects like: Family with Parental / inlaws cover Dig deeper into gaps in the policy and ensure you underwrite things that gave folks a bad experience in the past. I have taken steps to add complications arising from a voluntary termination of pregnancy into the insurance which isn't covered by many. Also there is no ideal method, again benefits is about intent. Always keep your intent as enough coverage that benefits employees and families. Include wellness programs that also covers mental health and not just physical health. Allow top ups as there will be a cohort of folks who feel the coverage isn't enough for the age or size of thier family.
