Hello Folks, Can we send offer letter / confirmation letter with out salary details .. as Candidates use the same for hike in current organisation... How to deal with this

Offer Letter is required to have the compensation details. It is the compensation, along with designation that is being offered to an individual.

But then they use that offer letter for hike in current organisation and don't join

We cannot put a stop on the flight of a candidate. The best we can do is provide market driven salary and benefits, along with continuous great experience to the candidate.

we have a process where we share detailed EVP along with the offer letters to the candidates. This way we are able to sell brands & story to our candidates. @Harshal Goyal It will be great if you can share an example of an EVP document. I am in the process of creating one.

The problem here is not that the offer letter has comp in it. It is that the candidates who want to negotiate and shop will do it regardless. Organizations will have to give out offer for the candidate to put down their paper so you are just looking at delaying that process rather than solving for it. Selling, comp bench marking, understanding true motivation and engagement all of it together is the only way to get better result. Great example being the EVP mentioned by Mr.Harshal here.

Instead of sharing an offer letter document, you can share a detailed email from your official email id mentioning the necessary details like, DOJ, Compensation, position offered etc. and once the candidate puts down his papers ask him to share a screenshot of the same just to be double sure. Lastly, after getting fully satisfied share the offer letter document with the candidate.
