Could anyone please share a communication format for 10th May holiday in Bangalore on account of elections?

Dear Colleagues, Elections are an integral and essential part of our democratic process and it is important that we exercise our franchise and cast our vote. Voting for the Karnataka Assembly will be held on the 10th of May, 2023. Given our commitment to uphold and enhance democracy and under Section 35B of the Representation of People's Act, 1935, every colleague who is registered as a voter in Karnataka, is entitled to a paid holiday, so he / she can cast their vote. We request all such eligible voters to please inform your respective Manager, obtain his / her alignment and apply for leave. All customer facing functions should plan their voting schedule such that service delivery / continuity is delivered. Regards, Team People

Is it supposed to be mandatory for all employees or is there an option to make it mandatory for only those who are voting?

Can any one please confirm whether is it mandatory to declare Holiday for all employees on May 10th?

At Techvito, We've declared Paid Holiday for Karnataka location.
