Sorry for asking agian, but maybe this will help you as well... I'm trying to create new store basen on solidus, step by step via your guide and I'm getting an error (see below). The internet tells me that Solidus still requires sprockets, which are no longer available in Rails 8 (by default), but I don't know if that's a correct conclusion. I can see the hint as well, but should the hint appear if Solidus 4.7 supports Rails 8.1? Since Solidus supports 8.1, should I really create a manifest file? Would any of you like to take a look at this?
Copy code
bundle add solidus
IT WAS OK

rails generate solidus:install --help
/Users/adrian/.rbenv/versions/4.0.1/lib/ruby/gems/4.0.0/gems/sprockets-rails-3.5.2/lib/sprockets/railtie.rb:106:in 'block in <class:Railtie>': Expected to find a manifest file in `app/assets/config/manifest.js` (Sprockets::Railtie::ManifestNeededError)
But did not, please create this file and use it to link any assets that need
to be rendered by your app:

Example:
  //= link_tree ../images
  //= link_directory ../javascripts .js
  //= link_directory ../stylesheets .css
and restart your server

I've just opened an issue to fix the main README, but the storefront installation instructions, which you should be using instead of the ones in the main README right now, are here: github.com/solidusio/solidus/…/storefront#… You should not have this issue if you follow those instructions.

Ok, so this was expected. So you're also the ones who are communicating correctly? Support for Rails 8.1, but still need to create manifests, right? Maybe I misunderstand "Rails 8.1 support", I'm a beginner 🙂
looks like it's working... the only erros is:
Copy code
AbstractController::DoubleRenderError (Render and/or redirect were called multiple times in this action. Please note that you may only call render OR redirect, and at most once per action. Also note that neither redirect nor render terminate execution of the action, so if you want to exit an action after redirecting, you need to do something like "redirect_to(...); return".):
i will deal with that by myself, thank you
