I want to share with you all my very own fun project. At our company the structure of our solidus application we had to heavy customize the backend and we had seen a lot of api-Ajax interaction. So I am trying to create an alternative more rails way and hotwired. https://github.com/retsef/solidus_adminland . It's a really pre pre pre alpha stage and in heavy development

Sorry in advance for being a downer here. I'd encourage you to look at how we might move the existing backend forward rather than attempt a rewrite. The reality is that no existing extension will be compatible with your backend. This makes it a non-starter for 99% of stores. Fragmentation of the community is one of the issues we sought to solve with Solidus. By keeping the community we all benefit from the improvements that get made to the platform. You've got good ideas in there, some even that we've started to explore, like modernizing the JavaScript technologies in backend and bringing them in line with the latest Rails defaults. You're welcome to go your own way on this, but I'm sure the community would be more appreciative of effort put into improving what we have already than something that would require every store and extension to rework their backend customizations.

I really appreciate your analysis and you are right in every manner. As i said for our backend needs we ended up to rewrote it for our needs. I ported our revamp under a fun project (i will underline ‘made just for fun’, with the purpose of re-writing to discover how solidus works from the inside prospective). Thanks in advice

Ah, that's helpful context. Definitely cool to see what you're doing there. Part of the benefit of the platform is that you can rewrite whatever piece you want to suit your needs, and I hope we can implement some the turbo/hotwire/stimulus stuff on the backend in the future. Alberto already started looking into it.
