Hi Team, we have lost access to our rudderstack control plane, Can someone help us retrieve it ?
m
Hey There! 👋 Your message has been received by the RudderStack team. Our standard customer support hours are 9-6 PM EST, but we will forward this request to your Technical Account Manager, and they will get back to you shortly. Please use the thread for any additional comments.

Did you forget the password? What is the issue? You can log in to https://app.rudderstack.com with your registered email ID and password.

Hey Akhilesh, We are getting the below error. Can we get our rudder hosted control plane retracted please?
q
You have 2 workspaces, which one you are getting the error with? FYI.. You are on a free plan and this is expected when you reach 1M event limit in a month. This will be auto-enabled at the start of next month or you need to upgrade to a paid plan. Are you working with anyone at rudderstack for a POC?
m
khatabook is my workspace. This makes sense for us to be blocked. We are on open source solution with self-hosted data plane. Can you please discard the older lot and enable our account.
q
open source control plane won’t be blocked because of the event limit. You should move your control plane to https://app.rudderstack.com/signup?type=opensource
Some of your sources might still be using rudderstack data plane instead of your self-hosted data plane and that is causing the lockout. Can you check this
m
I am checking internally, can you share the rudder data plane url if possible? Also, we are using rudder hosted control plane and self hosted data plane.

I remember similar issue in the past. What is stopping us to mark the account "open-source" so that this issue does not occur in the future? Although this way, you won't be able to use cloud data plane at all.
m
Hey Pradeep, Agree on the former. Since, we have multiple projects, It was difficult to track. I am following up internally with the org.
Anyway we can check for a sample request hitting this data plane?
@quiet-wolf-72320 /@gentle-petabyte-80785, in the case of open source vs rudder hosted control plane, what will be the difference in functionalities?
m
Guys, we have checked internally. None of our services seem to be sending data to Rudder hosted data plane. Also, we are getting the data in our destinations as intended. If we were using other plane, we would have lost this data.
q
As I mentioned in the DM, can you check this source
lending_custom_event_source
. It has collected 2.87M events in last one month. If you are not using this source then you can disable it.
m
Correct me if I am wrong here, so if we are sending data from this source to rudder data plane, we will be losing on this data right?
We have paused this pipeline. Can you please restart our access?
we will be extra careful while going for any deployment
