@AI Evy Hey in conversation flow can the top level agent in like system prompt call a tool?

Thanks for tagging me @neerajjoshi_. I'll look through relevant sources and get back to you shortly.
### Answer In Conversation Flow agents, tools are configured at the conversation flow level and can be made available to specific nodes [(1) ]() [(2) ]() . The global prompt is used in every node of the conversation flow , but tools are called by individual conversation nodes, not directly by the global prompt itself. Tools are defined in the
tools
array at the conversation flow level , and nodes within the flow can then invoke these tools based on their instruction and conversation context. Each node has its own instruction (which can be a prompt) and can trigger tool calls during its execution . So while the global prompt influences behavior across all nodes, the actual tool calling happens at the node level during conversation execution, not directly from the top-level system prompt.

@AI Evy what do you use for stt and can we change that model?

### Answer Retell AI uses Automatic Speech Recognition (ASR) for speech-to-text conversion [(1) ]() [(2) ]() . The platform recently upgraded its ASR engine with major improvements in transcription accuracy [(3) ]() . Retell offers two ASR transcription modes that you can choose from : - Optimize for speed (Fast & Accurate modes) - Optimize for accuracy (Accurate mode) The upgraded ASR now supports 50+ languages, including the recent addition of 22+ new languages like Arabic, Persian, Urdu, Hebrew, Tamil, and many others . The system delivers dramatically lower Word Error Rates (WER) in both modes . For European languages like German, French, Italian, and Polish, WER was reduced by 7-10 points in Accurate mode . For Asian languages like Chinese (Mandarin) , Malay, and Hindi, the improvements were even larger with WER improvements of 15-25 points . Based on the available sources, I don't have specific information about which underlying ASR model provider Retell uses or whether you can swap out the ASR model for a different one. For detailed configuration options around changing the ASR model, I'd recommend: - Visit [Documentation]() - Visit [Hire certified Retell partner]() Would you like a general answer based on my knowledge instead?
