@AI Evy is it possible to set a default time zone by agent or account so that every time I go to add a function, it doesn't default to America/West Coast? Having to change that string every single time is incredibly annoying .

Thanks for tagging me @ImageGuru. I'll look through relevant sources and get back to you shortly.
### Answer Based on the available documentation, there isn't a way to set a default timezone at the agent or account level that would automatically populate when adding functions [(1) ]() . However, you can configure agent-level default dynamic variables that include timezone-specific time variables. You can set default values for dynamic variables at the agent level, which serve as a fallback when specific variables aren't included in the call request . For timezone-specific current time, you can use the system variable format
{{current_time_[timezone]}}
in your agent configuration [(1) ]() [(2) ]() . For example,
{{current_time_America/Chicago}}
or
{{current_time_Australia/Sydney}}
. When configuring functions that require timezone parameters (like Cal.com booking) , you'll still need to specify the timezone in each function configuration [(3) ]() :
Copy code
json
{
  "type": "book_appointment_cal",
  "name": "book_appointment",
  "description": "Book an annual check up.",
  "cal_api_key": "cal_live_xxxxxxxxxxxx",
  "event_type_id": 60444,
  "timezone": "America/Los_Angeles"
}
Unfortunately, this timezone parameter needs to be set individually for each function and doesn't inherit from an account-wide default .

No this is a user interface issue that's just terribly annoying and why it's defaulting to America/West Coast doesn't make sense to me. If you have to configure numerous AI agents and numerous functions in those agents that aren't something you can just import wholesale, then you've got to do that by hand and you've got to change that string every single function. It makes no sense and is a horrible UX.
