import Retell from 'retell-sdk';
const client = new Retell({
apiKey: 'YOUR_RETELL_API_KEY',
}) ;
const conversationFlowResponse = await client.conversationFlow.retrieve('conversation_flow_id') ;
console.log(conversationFlowResponse.conversation_flow_id) ;
[(1) ]()
This returns the full conversation flow configuration including nodes, model_choice, tools, components, global_prompt, and other settings.
Step 2: Create a new conversation flow with the retrieved data
Use the returned configuration to create a new conversation flow:
javascript
import Retell from 'retell-sdk';
const client = new Retell({
apiKey: 'YOUR_RETELL_API_KEY',
}) ;
const conversationFlowResponse = await client.conversationFlow.create({
model_choice: { model: 'gpt-4.1', type: 'cascading' },
nodes: [
{
id: 'start',
instruction: { text: 'Greet the customer and ask how you can help them.', type: 'prompt' },
type: 'conversation',
},
],
start_speaker: 'agent',
}) ;
console.log(conversationFlowResponse.conversation_flow_id) ;
[(2) ]()
You would replace the model_choice, nodes, and other parameters with the values retrieved from your original flow.
Note: There isn't currently a one-click "copy/paste" feature in the UI for importing flows between different conversation flows. The API approach above is the documented method. [(1) ]() , [(2) ]()AI Evy
