### Answer To access call transcript, recording, latency tracking, and other call-related data, you have two main approaches: ## 1. Retrieve Call Data via API After a call ends, you can use the Get Call endpoint to retrieve all call details: [(1) ]()
Copy code
javascript
import Retell from 'retell-sdk';
const client = new Retell({
  apiKey: 'YOUR_RETELL_API_KEY',
}) ;
const callResponse = await client.call.retrieve('119c3f8e47135a29e65947eeb34cf12d') ;
console.log(callResponse) ;
The response includes: -
transcript
- Full transcription of the call -
transcript_object
- Transcript as a list of utterances with timestamps -
recording_url
- Recording of the call -
latency
- Latency tracking (e2e, asr, llm, tts, etc.) -
call_analysis
- Post-call analysis including sentiment, summary, and custom data ## 2. Set Up Webhooks Retell generates webhooks on each call:
call_started
,
call_ended
, and
call_analyzed
. [(2) ]() To configure webhooks, go to webhook settings in your agent within the dashboard. Subscribe to the
call_analyzed
webhook event type to receive post-call analysis data (including transcript, recording, sentiment, summary) once it's ready. [(3) ]() The webhook URL you set will receive the call data automatically when each event occurs.

Thanks for the follow-up, @Vyyy. I'll get back to you soon.
### Answer The 401 error with "DirectApiAuthorizationRequired" and "The request must be authenticated only by Shared Access scheme" indicates the issue is on your webhook endpoint's side, not Retell AI's side. [(1) ]() Your endpoint URL is returning a 401 Unauthorized response when Retell AI attempts to POST the webhook payload. ## What's Happening Retell AI's webhook system works as follows: - The webhook POSTs the payload to your endpoint - It has a timeout of 10 seconds - If no success status (2xx) is received, the webhook retries up to 3 times Your logs show the retry occurring because your endpoint returned 401 instead of a 2xx success status. ## How to Fix 1. Check your endpoint authentication - The error message suggests your endpoint requires "Shared Access" authentication (likely Azure Service Bus or similar) . You need to either: - Remove authentication requirements from your webhook endpoint - Configure your endpoint to accept Retell AI webhook requests 2. Verify webhook signature - If you want to secure your webhook, use Retell's signature verification method with your API key rather than external authentication schemes. [(2) ]() 3. Test your endpoint - Before going live, test locally using this curl command: [(3) ]()
Copy code
bash
curl --location 'localhost:8080/webhook' \
--header 'Content-Type: application/json' \
--data '{
  "event": "call_ended",
  "call": {
    "call_id": "test123"
  }
}'
Your endpoint should return a 2xx status code with no body expected. [(1) ]()
