{
"number": "+12369999999",
"option": {
"type": "cold_transfer",
"showTransfereeAsCaller": true
},
"extension": "1234#"
}
But in real calls, the extension is omitted:
json
{
"number": "+12369999999",
"option": {
"type": "cold_transfer",
"showTransfereeAsCaller": true
}
}
Suggested Workaround:
One user reported that selecting "Keep raw input" in the transfer settings fixed it for them, though this hasn't worked for everyone.
Additional Consideration:
The extension format must be 0-9, '*', '#' (e.g., 123#) . [(2) ]() Also, some IVRs may require a pause before the digits are entered—it's unclear how Retell sends the extension digits to the IVR. [(1) ]()
This appears to be a known issue that hasn't been fully resolved. I'd recommend reaching out to the Retell team directly for further assistance.AI Evy
