Please share if you have recommendations for a beginner English reader ( non-fiction preferable). I thought 'Animal Farm' would be a good start, but when I flipped through it quickly I realized the vocabulary is somewhat advanced. Looking for something less intimidating and encouraging.

Harry Potter is actually a really good one to start. It has 7 books. Apart from that, if you want non-fiction, Design of Everyday Things or What If by XKCD.
