Hey, Has anyone been part of the pesto.tech program or knows anyone who went through their program? If so, I have a couple of questions - How was the experience? Is it really worth it for developers who already have 2+ years of web dev experience? Most importantly, do they really have good enough access and network that they can land you a remote job with a decent senior level pay? Or in the end you're on your own as a lone hunter like before?

How was the experience? Is it really worth it for developers who already have 2+ years of web dev experience? Yeah , its worth every hour you spend with them , curriculum is very good Most importantly, do they really have good enough access and network that they can land you a remote job with a decent senior level pay? Or in the end you're on your own as a lone hunter like before They have access & network , in the end it depends on your profile , experience and knowledge They measure your involvement on things like attendance , assignments , scores and on basis of your involvement in course , you are matched with companies for senior level pay , it all depends on your experience , current profile and skills

thanks @aloof-scientist-13139 !! How was the experience? Is it really worth it for developers who already have 2+ years of web dev experience? -> I think it was one of the best experiences of learning I ever had. It was a bit intense when I joined it. I think now they are remote, so probably it's a bit different. Most importantly, do they really have good enough access and network that they can land you a remote job with a decent senior level pay? Or in the end, you're on your own as a lone hunter like before? -- I am still working with the same company that I started working with one and a half years back. and the work experience is good and still want to work with them. Now Pesto also got few people as angel investors from Silicon Valley. (i.e the founder of product hunt, Gumroad). So probably they have a much better network now. and they have improved on the ISA model. I would say, it's worth giving it a shot. Probably nothing to lose, if you have doubts you can always talk to them. 🙂

Thank you for your great inputs and pointers everyone!

Tagging @mysterious-lifeguard-87036 and @delightful-night-60414 who are pesto alums. Also, we did a session on the value of ISAs/bootcamps. Might want to give a listen.

Thanks @calm-grass-85557, I am part of Pesto Remote program, yes I agree with all the points mentioned earlier. Adding to that for Pesto Remote, You will need to find ways to keep going with the learning phase, while juggling with current work. Will be having 2 hours classes for around 12 weeks, say for us, it was 8-10 pm, for 4 days a week. You will surely be given access to some very exciting jobs, they constantly keep adding new opportunities both within India (Non-remote and remote also) and Fully Remote companies as well, so you are definitely not on your own.
