Hey! how's it going? 😄 I came back to slack after a few months of slumber. I think it will be fun to know: Where you are working from & what do you like about it? and if there is any other place you fancy working from too? I am in Delhi but quite sick of the pollution and lack of nature. Would love to try living 3-6 months somewhere else in 2021. I am preferring to be in the mountains but exploring options right now. Would love to hear people's experiences here! And oh if anyone is also planning to make a tiny house on a piece of land, we should get in touch!! I am 120% certain I will do that in the next 3-5 years.

Living in Udaipur, extended my stay here by 6 odd montha due to corona, but definately one of the better towns in India except peak summers. I head to Manali for summers as pretty much everywhere else gets hot. I'm already making tiny houses in blender 3d, hoping one of these days will make one a reality :)

Been living in a small village off Dharamshala for the past 1 year. 100% satisfied with working remotely from here. Might shift to Manali in summers.

What places can one stay at in Udaipur and Manali?
d
@refined-football-20364 there are no pre-packaged deals available in these places (as far as I know). Both are tourist towns, so there will plenty of options available. However, if you planning to visit for a long term your best bet is finding an apartment. You can find plenty of furnished apartments for rent in Udaipur. Manali on the other hand is a logistic nightmare, choose Dharamshala or other town over Manali if it's your first time staying in hills for longer, you'll have much better experience.

@dry-waitress-7852 Thanks, I am (or will be) a first timer. ANy specific website/resource that you use to find places on rent in Udaipur (is the usual 99acres and such Real Estate websites)?
d
Regular websites will work (there are a tons of adds for property on OLX too!), figure out the duration you want as most of these listings will be long term. For short term you find a local broker or something. Feel free to DM me and we can talk about it there.

Wow that's amazing to see the enthusiasm here 😄 would love to bounce ideas on tiny houses, and also would be fantastic to see the renders Himanshu! My go to source for inspiration is Bryce's youtube channel living big in a tiny house. I haven't found good examples of tiny houses in India. Please send if you found any that inspired you @jolly-manchester-27846 @dry-waitress-7852 @crooked-ghost-83128
