iPhone users who didn’t get a charger with the phone, which charging brick are you using? The overpriced Apple one, or a third party? I’ve heard Apple devices to be finicky with 3rd party accessories, so I’m wondering if paying the 3x price is worth the peace of mind

I have a couple of these around the house. You need to get a 2 Amp plug to get the QC going. If you are looking for a travel charger to charge with a cable, Anker makes decent stuff. Like this one.

Not an iPhone user +1 on Anker. Was about to suggest…best third party brand for any device. But the Apple one itself is not as costly as I thought it would be, why not just get that? https://www.apple.com/in/shop/product/MHJD3HN/A/20w-usb-c-power-adapter

I’m using the one which came with my iPad - don’t think this answer of mine will help you much 😅

As long as the 3rd party accessory has an official apple certification, you should be fine. Most "well-known" brands have apple certification. I have been using 3rd party cables without any issues

Thanks for the replies 🙌 will probably go with Anker

I am using the one that came with my older pixel 2 xl

I am using the Macbook 16" charger for now. It works fine.

Looks like Apple even says it’s ok to do so - https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208137

@damp-coat-97256 -- about using the Macbook 16" charger with iPhone? Yes. I actually checked that page before starting to use the charger. 😅 Didn't want to risk Apple denying warranty because of this.
d
Yeah I was guessing it would be ok, but didn't think Apple would officially say it's ok.

I was surprised as well considering the kind of lock in they usually try to enforce. In a way, even having a Macbook charger handy is lock in.
