yep .. you are right. Right now I have 0 experience in building a community.

I worked with a guy on building the community around Decred

There was a community called “Gathered” which totally changed my mind about online communities

Gathered is a digital co-working space for compassionate creators. We believe in creating out loud…in making our process visible so we can learn from each other, receive encouragement &amp; accountability, and gather like-minded people around our work.

Basically it was a group for people who were doing creative work

And the content generated in that community was super amazing

I felt so inspired reading some of the posts

But then I was not taking much action .. and had to pay 12$ a month, so I stopped it

I copied some of the content into evernote and I will share it with you as well

so even though there aren't tons of people, they are quite close to one another

I suddenly remember that I have a half read book in my kindle - `Community: The Structure of Belonging`

I think having good and consistent content which engages people, is the key

People need to feel they are learning and part of something big

Using slack files only in order to keep everything in one system.

Yep .. I know this is a big responsibility

Hence I will go a little slow at the start

Will be taking inspiration from remotive and start building things into this community

Let’s use the general channel now to keep each other motivated

If possible, let’s use word of mouth to get a few more people into this slack group

Seriously  I had no idea you were interested in community

I just thought to reach out since you were also working remotely

I think we can add some reasons why we believe in working remotely.
