🍿 Last night, I was watching the Pioneer livestream and I got to see some really awesome pitches πŸ”₯ Here are some cool products that the community might find useful β€’ https://www.thiscodeworks.com/ πŸ‘‰ Pinterest of code (allows you to save from VS) β€’ https://cadoo.io/ πŸ‘‰ Get fit and get paid! β€’ https://plutoview.com/ πŸ‘‰ Surf the web together Also, the founder of https://repl.it/ shared his old pitch deck which was pretty amazing. It's crazy that they started the project back in 2010.

Someone point me to the thread about homeschooling and education in India. I think @loud-glass-33663 and a few others were involved.

Hi I need to extract text from a large number of financial documents (trade agreements mostly, but varied formats). Which is the best OCR API service in your opinion? I have tried the ones from AWS, GCP and Azure. My initial observations: 01 In terms of pure text accuracy, I think GCP is the best of the three. 02 AWS offers an additional "analyze" service, which was able to extract some structure of the document too, eg key-value pairs (form) and tables. This isn't highly accurate, but better than nothing (GCP and Azure just offer words & lines for structure currently). Ideally, I want best text accuracy & structure (table and form values). Any ideas / opinions? I am also open to implement some model myself (specially for extracting the document structure) if there is some relevant paper / resource you know of and can share. Thanks for reading!

Hey guys! Are there jobs out there for people with primary skills as just HTML & CSS? (With a little bit of JS for DOM manipulation) Asking for a friend! Basically my friend has been working as an Electronics Engg since 3-4 years, and is not content with the work, the uncertain job market and the lower pay in the industry he works in. He recently took a HTML, CSS intro tutorial and took a interest in building static websites for fun. Although he's not started learning JS frameworks like React yet, and is not confident about being a 'JavaScript Dev'. If he gets really good at HTML & CSS over a period of some months, what are the chances he can get a job/project as a fresher in this field? He wants to know if it'll be worth putting in the efforts in this directions for a few months.

I recently bought a used iPhone SE 1st generation via Olx. I checked everything before buying except mobile network connectivity.Β  Now when I insert my Airtel SIM, the phone detects the SIM but is unable to connect to the network. Shows "no service" in the top bar. Anyone faced similar issues and can help? I have already tried a bunch of things and waiting to contact Apple support and Airtel customer care today. But feeling restless, so I thought someone here might be able to help.

I've added quick overview in this article, which might be helpful in your next job application, especially cold emails. https://medium.com/@amitbadala07/how-to-convey-your-message-effectively-with-images-a-k-a-kungfu-content-94c0965ed3c

I have very old Sennheiser HD 202 II and it still works, the durability is just fantastic, compared to my JBL E65BTNC whose ear cups have got damaged in barely less than a year. So my vote goes to Sennheiser for build quality.

@here Currently, I am using Macbook Pro (2019), upgraded to Catalina. From past one week, I am facing weird issue as all my browsers keep crashing while working. Especially chrome showing an error - "Error code: RESULT_CODE_UNINSTALL_USER_CANCEL" - I uninstalled and reinstalled chrome but still the same issue. As the same time, I am also facing crashes of RubyMine and Datagrip - it shows Java Seg Fault crashes. Does anyone have an idea how to resolve? Else do I need to reinstall the OS then? Thanks
