I am kind of sick of living in a big city. Looking for a location to move to after the pandemic is over. Do any of you live in a small city, town, or village that fits the basic requirement for remote work? 1. Good internet connectivity 2. Decent medium-term (few months) accommodation options (rented house with basic amenities) 3. Some natural green spaces for leisure/walks/hikes (natural water bodies to swim in would be a big plus!) Some potential places I am thinking about: 1. Jodhpur (too hot?) 2. Mysore 3. Gokarna 4. Kovalam, Tamil Nadu 5. Auroville. 6. Vashisht, Old Manali 7. Chhattru (no internet) 8. Achalu, Ramanagar. 9. Hampi. 10. Kaza. 11. Less popular parts of Goa? 12. Landour 13. Rishikesh 14. Bhilai! (How could I forget this one. I was born and brought up here!) But these are still quite touristy. The lesser-known the place, the better. I would love to know about your personal experiences and ideas.

Recommendation for specialization on software engineering: I have been a Full stack developer by myself for more than 2 years now. i know that being on both sides helps in staying demand. but i want to specialize on any one side. when i asked some of my tech friends. they suggested to go with backend architects or being devops guy. i can see few of successful backend or devops or full stack guys here. it would be helpful if you guys can guide me based on the demand, remote job opportunities and other factor etc.

What's your favorite provider for buying domains? I want to move away from GoDaddy because its UI is clunky/buggy + I don't like their baiting offers/marketing hacks. I moved some of the domains to Vercel (zeit) gradually because they just have an amazing experience but I thought I will check in with others. Has this been discussed before in remote India? 🙂

Anyone into casual gaming here? What games do you play and what do you play on? I mostly play CoD Warzone, Hitman, Forza, and FIFA on Xbox, and COD Mobile once in a while. Few of the games of the past which I loved back in the day were FIFA 2006, Max Payne, Hitman, NFS Underground 2, MW; GTA (Vice City, SA) and few more which I can’t recall.

You can use push notifications or setup a websocket server to push data to the client. If you're trying to figure out how to get data from db, postgres has pubsub or you can use django signals as well.
