Not to be negative, on the way to my coworking space I was thinking this. What if after 10 years, almost 70% of tech jobs are remote? Is that even possible? eliminating the cases of direct interactions for meetings and other things solved by video calls, VR etc? If that is a case, more and more jobs will be done from India and thus the tax paid by people in India is going to increase + India will be exporting software to foreign countries which could result in increase of economy 🀷 correct me if I am wrong At the same time, when companies opt for remote jobs outside US, the tax paid by those companies are massively reduced which could result in lowering of economy for that country. This could be one main reason why there are many jobs which say Remote working only from US meaning payroll inside US states. But how will it affect if things change to go remote worldwide, or will that happen? πŸ€” Just a thought

Is there any place where we can get most commonly used tools/apps on laptop by developers/ designers ? I am trying to figure out a simple way to track the app usage on my laptop using a script but the application process names and Title could vary at times. So wanted to know if someone could help me on that. Like Slack Skype Visual Studio Code Atom Sketch Figma etc

Payoneer / Transferwise / Bank Wire Transfer all are better than PayPal.

I tried signing up for Transferwise but I think it was not available for India. About the bank wire transfer, O receive multiple payments of the range about ~$300, and my client asked inquired to their bank and it is charging them $50. So doesn't make much sense. Will try signing up for Transferwise again, their fee is really low. Thanks.

Try Payoneer. It gives you a US or UK bank account. Client makes local payments in their country. You can even redirect to India in USD if you have an EEFC account with your bank.

You can't open a transferwise multicurrency account but can still accept payments. Link an indian bank account to your mail and they can pay to email address, or they can pay using account number and ifsc directly.

One of the great disservices done by modern education is that it programs us to worry about fixing our weaknesses not doubling down on our strengths
@loud-glass-33663 This boils down to what your definition of success is, and whether that is better served by being a generalist or a specialist. I'm willing to defend the case for being a generalist (which requires fixing our weaknesses and not just doubling down on your strengths). As the saying goes, specialization is for insects. πŸ˜„
